Volleyball has been a part of Melanie's life since birth. Having volleyball legend and teacher Sheree Harvey as a mother, her love for the game and teaching its many life lessons has grown to be a true passion. And she wouldn't have it any other way.

After being told she would never play collegiate volleyball because of her height (5'4"), her competitive drive took charge and she maximized years of training under some of the best coaches in Northeast Ohio to land a Division 1 spot at Coastal Carolina University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in business. Today, Melanie continues to play and coach both sand and indoor volleyball. She has coached club volleyball for the last five years and is part of the girls volleyball coaching staff at her alma mater, Stow-Munroe Falls High School.

As a coach, mother, wife, daughter and friend, INSPIRE is what Melanie strives to do on a daily basis. Her hope with Inspire CLE is to live that goal in a way that empowers kids to unlock their true potential while creating great and memorable experiences in life.
